UAE nationals could access financing of up to 85%, while eligible expatriates may receive up to 80% as leading banks bring mortgage offers under one roof this weekend.
Dubai: Buying a home in Dubai could become easier for prospective buyers this weekend as DAMAC Properties hosts a two-day mortgage event bringing together several leading UAE banks.
The DAMAC Mortgage Event will take place on August 8 and 9, from 10am to 6pm, at the DAMAC Lagoons Sales Centre. The event is designed to give homebuyers and property investors an opportunity to compare financing options and receive guidance directly from mortgage specialists.
Among the key highlights are financing options of up to 85% for UAE Nationals and up to 80% for expatriates, subject to individual eligibility and each bank’s lending criteria.
Leading UAE banks to offer mortgage guidance
Visitors will have the opportunity to speak directly with representatives from banks including Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB), Emirates NBD and Mashreq, along with other participating lenders.
Instead of approaching banks individually, prospective buyers can explore different mortgage solutions at a single location. Specialists will be available to assess customers’ circumstances, explain available financing options and provide guidance on mortgage eligibility.
For some buyers, the event could also offer the possibility of receiving mortgage approval during the event, depending on their financial profile and the bank’s approval process.
Zero processing fees and other incentives
DAMAC said participating buyers may also benefit from a range of financial incentives designed to reduce some of the initial costs associated with purchasing a property.
These include zero processing fees, cashback offers and other financing incentives, although the availability and terms will depend on the individual bank and the customer’s eligibility.
The event will also cater to buyers interested in eligible off-plan properties. Financing solutions may be available for qualifying projects that have reached at least 30% construction completion, potentially giving buyers more options beyond completed properties.
Financing options for residents and international buyers
The mortgage event is open to both UAE residents and international buyers, giving overseas investors an opportunity to explore available financing for Dubai property.
Another option that could appeal to off-plan buyers is the possibility of paying only part of their monthly mortgage instalment during the construction period, where applicable.
Such arrangements could help eligible buyers manage their cash flow while waiting for their property to be completed. However, the exact terms will depend on the lender, project and individual borrower.
A growing focus on easier property financing
DAMAC Managing Director Amira Sajwani said that access to suitable financing can make the property-buying process considerably easier, particularly given the financial commitment involved in purchasing a home.
The mortgage event comes as Dubai continues to attract both local and international buyers to its real-estate market. By bringing banks and prospective property buyers together, DAMAC is looking to make financing information more accessible while helping customers understand the options available to them.
For buyers considering a DAMAC property, the two-day event could therefore provide an opportunity to compare mortgage solutions, understand eligibility requirements and potentially secure attractive financing terms — all in one place.
With financing of up to 85% for eligible UAE Nationals and up to 80% for expatriates, the event is expected to attract homebuyers and investors looking for more flexible ways to enter Dubai’s property market.
